American Express is offering a chance for new cardholders to earn extra cash back on top of the welcome offers for two co-branded airline cards: the Gold Delta SkyMiles® Credit Card from American Express and the Platinum Delta SkyMiles® Credit Card from American Express.

The Platinum Delta SkyMiles® Credit Card from American Express
You can get 50% cash back as a statement credit, up to $500, making $1,000 in Delta spending the way to max out this benefit. This card offers an even larger welcome bonus: Earn 50,000 bonus miles after you make $3,000 in purchases on your new Card in your first 3 months. Terms apply.
You’ll earn the same 2 miles per dollar on Delta purchases and 1 mile everywhere else, but the Platinum Delta SkyMiles® Credit Card from American Express offers some extras in exchange for its $195 annual fee:
- One companion certificate per anniversary year, good for round-trip domestic travel in the main cabin.
- Earn 10,000 bonus miles and 10,000 Medallion Qualification Miles (MQMs) after spending $25,000 in a calendar year. If you spend $50,000, you can earn a total of 20,000 bonus miles and 20,000 MQMs. Earning MQMs helps you get closer to attaining Medallion Status on Delta.
