How to score the flight deal

1. Join Discount Den

To be eligible for the deal, you must be a member of Frontier’s Discount Den program, which gives you exclusive access to the lowest fares on the airline. Membership costs $59.99 annually.

2. Find a qualifying flight

The deal is valid for nonstop domestic flights to and from Las Vegas until Feb. 14, 2020. There are some blackout dates, and the days of the week you can fly vary by route. Here’s the big list of the routes offered:

  • Atlanta to/from Las Vegas
  • Austin to/from Las Vegas
  • Charlotte to/from Las Vegas

3. Buy your tickets with the promo code

You can only book your free companion ticket online. Use the promo code “FLYFREE” when you book. You’ll have to pay extra fees for baggage (even an overhead bag), and advanced seat assignment on Frontier Airlines.

The bottom line

The flights available for the Friends Fly Free promotion are very limited, but it’s worth checking out because you’re essentially getting a companion fare for $59.99 (plus fees), the price of a Discount Den membership.

On top of that, the Discount Den membership will save you a few dollars on the price of the fare you have to book to get the deal, plus any future flights you book on Frontier Airlines for the next year.

If you fly this airline a few times a year and can also take advantage of the airline’s Kids Fly Free programs, it’s worth the investment.
