Why is Russia’s Covid-19 mortality rate so low?

Kent Sepkowitz writes that doctors and journalists in Russia have pointed to the country’s testing and the apparently efficient Russian healthcare system for its less than 1% mortality rate, which may be true, but other things need to be taken into consideration, like how is Russia — a country with high rates of comorbid conditions — attributing deaths to Covid-19.
